Getting Started

I have never taken an online course, how does it work?

Taking our online courses is a simple and enjoyable process. If you have experience using a web browser to access websites on the Internet, you will have no problem taking our courses online!

Can you explain to me how educational credit hours work?

A certificate of attendance for contact hours of educational activity (e.g., 5 contact hours, 5 CEUs or 0.5 CEUs depending how your Practice Act determines CEUs in your state) will be awarded to registrants upon completion of a course. You are responsible to make sure that the course you wish to take is approved by your state CEU authority. Check our STATE CEU APPROVALS page for information about approvals in your state. If you have questions or the course you wish to take is not approved in your state, please feel free to contact us at ceus@greatseminarsonline.com to discuss your options.

Your tuition is tax deductible. All expenses of Continuing Education (including registration fees, travel, meals, and lodging) taken to maintain or improve professional skills are tax deductible according to Treasury Regulation 1.162-5 Couglin vs. Commissioner, 203 F2d 307.

Do I need to sign on, or be on the computer at a certain time?

No! You can take our seminars on your own schedule, day or night – with no specific starting times. This is one of the great advantages of online learning.

What kind of computer do I need to take the courses? Do I need special software?

Any modern computer should be able to access our seminars; both Macs and PC’s are supported. You will not need any special software, other than an up-to-date web browser and an up-to-date version of Flash Player.

What kind of Internet connection do I need?

You will need a hi-speed connection to access our online seminars. If your internet speed is too slow, some of the videos may be difficult to play all of the way through. Most residential internet connections (cable or ASDL) will be fine. If you currently use dial-up, you will need to access the course from another location.

What do I do if I have problems completing a seminar?

Great Seminars Online employs a help system that will assist you throughout your coursework. If you experience technical problems, you may email us at help@greatseminarsonline.com Please describe the technical problem in as much detail as possible, This will enable us to help you more quickly.

What kind of proof will I have that I have taken your seminar?

You will be issued a certificate upon completing the course that will detail your participation in the seminar.

What is your refund policy?

Enrolling in a Great Seminars Online course allows you full access to the course content for 90 days. Refunds are not provided. If you need courses that are approved for CEUs in your state, be sure to review our STATE CEU APPROVALS page.
