Gait and Balance

Not Falling For You

Experience a real-time slice of life with Dr. Carole Lewis treating an 87-year old woman with gait and balance problems. This course begins with the evidence that therapist need for treating a myriad of gait and balance problems. Then you will go into real time evaluation that gives you evidence based functional assessment tools as well as the most important impairment measurements. Dr. Lewis will explain why she has selected each aspect of measurement, which will help you, the practitioner, improve your documentation of outcomes for enhanced patient care.

The presentation will then focus intensely on treatment and provide numerous strategies for getting the best results. You will learn about the latest research supporting these approaches and you will see Dr. Lewis demonstrating how to perform each treatment technique and how to progress these techniques. The evaluation and treatment segments are clearly demonstrated on video clips of Dr. Lewis working with a real patient. The program ends with a case study that puts together all that has been presented. You will learn about the latest most comprehensive approaches to gait and balance that you can then use immediately in a clinical setting.
